BOARD MEMBERS


Rick Uribe

President
Sergeant Rick Uribe began his law enforcement career in October of 2002 with the Hollister Police Department. After serving the residents of the City of Hollister, Rick Uribe chose join the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office in October of 2005. This transition allowed him to better serve all of the residents in San Benito County. During his time with the Sheriff’s Office, Rick Uribe has served as Patrol Deputy, a Field Training Officer, and a Defensive Tactics Instructor. Rick Uribe promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2007 and has since also served as a Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and a Narcotics Task Force Sergeant. He currently has returned to the Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office and also continues to remain a part of the agency’s Training Unit. Sgt. Rick Uribe has remained active within the Deputy Sheriff’s Association (D.S.A), effectively being elected to several D.S.A Board positions and participating on various related committees. Sgt. Uribe has served repeatedly in prior year contract negotiations and participated in various DSA sponsored community events. Sgt. Rick Uribe looks forward to effectively serving as the D.S.A President and expanding the relationship between the residents of San Benito County and the San Benito County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

Breyon Canez

Sgt. at Arms
Deputy Breyon Canez has been with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office for 3 years. Prior to transitioning to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, Breyon Canez was employed as a Probation Officer with the San Benito County Probation Department. Over the current span of his career with the Sheriff’s Office, Breyon Canez has held the assignment of Patrol Deputy, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Field Training Officer (F.T.O) and acting Patrol Shift Supervisor. Breyon Canez is active within the San Benito County community.

Victor Casada

Treasurer
Deputy Victor Casada has been with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years. Victor Casada began his public safety career with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, as a Correctional Deputy. After a few years as a Correctional Deputy at the San Benito County Jail, Victor Casada transitioned to being a Patrol Deputy within San Benito County. Over the current span of his career with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, Victor Casada has worked as a Patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer (F.T.O), Detective, acting patrol shift supervisor and Canine Handler. Victor Casada has been active within the DSA and San Benito County community, being elected to the DSA Board Position as Treasurer on several occasions.
